My eye won't stop

twitching

Sleepless laying in your bed,

Dreamlessly wanting to rest

It would be so easy if you were here

Rocking me

Yet

here I lie...

Morning comes and I ache

To always be in bed with your smell and

The dips in the memory

Foam mattress.

When you awoke in the night in pain

Did you know it was coming?

Did you see your life nearing to nothingness?

Or is it bright and beautiful –

a heaven made for you?

My heart still pounding despite your absence

Though I thought it’d stop

In the space you no longer occupy,

I feel loss

in my bones.

When the wind blows and

I can't smell opium lingering on your sweater

And the Palmolive soap

on

your pruney

fingertips.

Sam. Moved me to tears. That’s exactly how it feels. Miss her all the time. Want to call her and say hi. 🥰
